Victoria City Restaurant x Johnnie Walker offer a supreme whisky experience

East Ocean Gourmet Group is committed to coupling innovative ideas with the cooking techniques and ingredients of various countries to develop new dishes that are widely popular among gastronomes. This August, Victoria City Restaurant, member of the Group, joined hands with Johnnie Walker in holding a feast. The fine menu put together by the Executive Chef of Victoria City Restaurant, plus the rich whisky, provided guests with the pleasures of the palate.

At the banquet, a professional sommelier shared on how to taste whisky and pair it with food. When pairing, first take a sip of the whisky and remember its aroma and taste. Then, think of the ingredients that may go with those characteristics, so that the flavours enhance one another. The Executive Chef of Victoria City Restaurant tailor-made the menu to present a new tasting experience to the diners, matching precious ingredients with the finest whisky. Smooth and sweet foie gras, fresh coral groupers, braised abalone in oyster sauce and other luxurious ingredients elevated the scent and aroma of the whiskey; and in turn, the whisky brought out the flavours of the dish. As a perfect ending to the night, each guest received a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label Whisky with their names engraved as souvenir.
