【SportsPower】SYNC Foundation connects communities with sport

Sports Power, SYNC Foundation’s first granting scheme, supports sport innovation projects with social impacts. Among the selected initiatives, there is Sport Online, a Hong Kong wide youth sport promotion project which invites elite athletes and artists to participate in a series of sport tutorial videos, bringing PE lessons online. Sports Power and Sports Online have collaboratively funded to extend the project from primary schools to secondary schools and communities. The kick-off ceremony was held successfully at The Wave with the presence of Stan Tang, Chairman of Stan Group and SYNC Foundation, Vicky Ip, Director of SYNC Foundation, Det Dik, Founder of Sport Online, and a group of Hong Kong elite athletes.

“Resilience and determination are virtues found in every athlete and are the essence of the entrepreneurship that Stan Group has been championing,” said Stan Tang, Chairman of Stan Group and SYNC Foundation, “Through SYNC Foundation and Sports Power, we support sport innovation projects with social impacts, connecting our business ecosystem with athletes and communities, and creating positive values for society. We are pleased to collaboratively fund the project extension with the organiser, taking the initiative to another level by expanding the project scope from primary schools to secondary schools and local communities in Hong Kong.  We hope it would create social benefits and pool together societal powers through sports.”

With support to sport innovation projects, SYNC Foundation aspires to advocate the philosophy of Creating Shared Value. The funding scheme will substantially support the translation of knowledge and skill of Hong Kong athletes and drive the development of the sport industry. Simultaneously, it helps spread joy and benefit of leading an active lifestyle, driving the vibrancy of society.
